The Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is an ultra-slim pancake prime and is one of the least expensive lenses you can buy. Measuring just 22.8mm thick, it’s Tested on Canon EOS 70D, the score is 19 higher than most other lenses.. From DxOMark: “With overall DxOMark Scores ranging from 13 tested on the on EOS 350D to its highest score of 19 tested on the EOS 70D, the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM ranks in the lower half of the performance spectrum compared to all lenses in our database. And if you just want a low-cost prime lens for your Canon, the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is a bargain at $150, even though it omits image stabilization. Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 Macro IS STM 4.0 It is sharp but over twice as expensive. I haven't had a clear night to test it for AP yet, but it was worth the price to me for a small, WA, native E mount lens for carrying around on the camera.
