Out of the multiple data generated by the GPS module, here in the project โGPS and GSM based Vehicle Tracking Systemโ we need NMEA data to track the location of the vehicle. The microcontroller processes this data and then sends it through a GSM modem to the mobile phone.
Reliability. Location determined via A-GPS are slightly less accurate than GPS. GPS devices can determine location coordinates to within 1 meter accuracy. Cost. It costs money to use A-GPS devices on an ongoing basis because they use mobile network resources. GPS devices communicate directly with satellites for free.I'm working on some GPS tracking apps on Android tablets. We found out that depending on the type of phone / tablet we use, we can have results ranging from really accurate to really bad. Those tests were conducted on the same track, with GPS only location - so I'm pretty sure the GPS chip quality is of great importance in those results GPS Definition and How GPS Works. GPS, aka Global Positioning System, is a satellite-based system consisting of a minimum of 24 satellites. These satellites orbit Earth at an altitude of about 12,500 miles (20,000 km). It works 24*7 across the globe regardless of the weather conditions. The result is a pocket-sized GPS tracker with the low-profile by pairing the ATGM336H module with an Arduino Xiao microcontroller, SD Card Module, and 3.7V LiPo Battery. The prototype developed here will be an autonomous tracker that will record latitude/longitude at roughly 1-10 points per second (1Hz - 10Hz) and needs no external components GSM module: A GSM modem or GSM module is a hardware device that uses GSM mobile telephone technology to provide a data link to a remote network. From the view of the mobile phone network, they are essentially identical to an ordinary mobile phone, including the need for a SIM to identify themselves to the network. L9WXrzu.
