had to change oil and filter, yes best drop the plastic cover, it wont take long, be carefull with the sump plug as i had to get mine out with a small chisel and a lump hammer, (dont worry it's not that drastic) just keep away from the sump, but if yours comes out easy great, and its easy with the plastic cover off, to change the filter, shop

Since January 2009 cars (diesel engined cars produced since then) have had to have diesel particulate filters. This is a EURO 5 requirement UNLESS the engine can meet Euro 5 without a DPF. To my knowledge only the 1.3 MJET can meet Euro 5 without a DPF but would add that this depends on the specific engine configuration.
The 'assembly' can float up and down to allow the spring to take up the slack in filter size tolerance and ensure a firm seal. When clipped to the filter, the assembly seals the inner 'pipe' of the filter to force oil through the membrane and hence filter it. The spring in the assembly is an over-pressure pressure relief valve.

To replace the air filter in a Fiat Doblo, locate the air filter housing under the hood of the car. Remove the clips or screws holding the housing in place, and lift the housing off the engine. Remove the old air filter and replace it with a new one, then reattach the housing.
Currently, diesel is £1.20 per litre & I can buy new cooking oil for 80p/litre. I've got about 50 litres of waste veg oil which I plan to filter to less than 5 microns - free fuel but I'll still be mixing it. 2006 doblo 1.9jtd. At the moment I'm running my doblo on a summer mix - now 2 gallons veg to 8 diesel by way of filling the tank
