TheHK sounds good, definitely better than my wife's previous BMW - a 2010 335d w/o HK. It is not as good as a 10K home system with preamp, amp,& good speakers, not as good as listening to high res audio with a pair of Sennheiser 650 headphones via a small DAC, but definitely better than an iPhone with $50 - $100 in-ear Navigation+ Harman Kardon audio system. It will easily drive any speaker with ease-and IMHO sounds way better then a HK870 or the like (many of the PM series have this same 'sound) as it really reveals a lot more detail, balance and dynamics with out
